From the age group of 3 to 6. Children from that age group tends to treat toys as their friends when their parents are not around to keep them company. So children will always bring their toys whenever they go, even to school. Not only toys, parents will also pack in their lunch boxes and what they need for school into their school bags. Such as water bottles, first aid kit set which results in the increase of weight in their school bags.
Children attending primary school at the age of 7-12, they will have more homework given by their teachers. There will be more subjects that they need to study and most of them bring home their textbooks to aid them in their homework. For certain subjects such as mathematics, they are required to bring their calculators and mathematical set, therefore, they also need to bring their CCA equipment in their bag packs. For guys, they also bring their gadgets such as Gameboy, PlayStation portable and trading card games.
For children that is attending secondary school at the age of 13 to 17, they will have more subjects to study, the textbooks will also be thicker and heavier. The workload will also increase subsequently. Children are more aware of fashion now, therefore they will have the habit of changing schoolbags now and then to fit the fashion trend. Children are much more mature at this age, they will have more gadgets such as iPhone, tablets and laptop which causes children to carry heavy school bags.
For children that is becoming a young adult at the age of 18 and above, their school bag size decreases dramatically but the weight remains the same. Therefore resulting that the children would carry things on their hands instead.
